Ready to Take the First Step?

Below are some helpful answers to common questions as you get started with Bold Little Fox Therapy.

  • Pediatric occupational therapy helps children develop the skills they need to thrive in everyday life—like playing, dressing, feeding, regulating emotions, and participating at school. We use play-based, goal-oriented activities to support each child’s unique development.

  • If your child struggles with tasks like using utensils, writing, dressing, paying attention, handling big emotions, or tolerating certain textures or sounds, OT may help. We offer free phone consultations to talk through your concerns and see if an evaluation is the next step.

  • We specialize in early intervention (ages 0–5) but also work with preschool and school-age children depending on your child’s needs and goals. If you're unsure, reach out and we’ll help guide you.

  • What is your location and availability?
We currently offer in-person pediatric occupational therapy in Polk County, Florida, and the surrounding areas.

For families located elsewhere in the state, we’re proud to provide telehealth services across all of Florida—so your child can receive high-quality, play-based support right from home.

    What are your hours?
Sessions are available by appointment, with flexible options to fit your family’s schedule.

    Current hours:
    Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
    Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Yes! An evaluation is required before starting occupational therapy services. This helps us understand your child’s current strengths and challenges so we can create the most effective, individualized plan.

Evaluations include a caregiver interview, clinical observations, and qualitative assessment tools. You’ll receive a written report within 10 business days. Already have an evaluation from the last 6 months? We’re happy to review it and get your child scheduled for services.

  • Every session is 60 minutes and completely tailored to your child’s unique goals—and always grounded in play! Sessions might include obstacle courses, fine motor games, sensory activities, or practicing daily routines like getting dressed or brushing teeth. All activities are designed to build developmental skills in a fun, supportive way that keeps your child engaged and growing.

  • Bold Little Fox Therapy is a private pay practice.
This means we are out-of-network with all insurance providers and do not bill insurance directly.

Private pay allows us to provide truly individualized care—free from insurance limitations on session length, frequency, or treatment focus. This flexibility ensures your child receives the support they need, when they need it, without unnecessary delays or restrictions.

A superbill may be provided upon request for families seeking reimbursement directly from their insurance plans.

Please note: it's the caregiver’s responsibility to understand their plan’s out-of-network benefits. Refunds cannot be provided.

  • A superbill is an itemized receipt provided by your child’s therapist that includes all the necessary information your insurance company may need to consider reimbursement for out-of-network services. It typically includes service codes, dates of sessions, fees paid, and provider credentials.

While we can provide a superbill upon request, submitting it to your insurance and following up on reimbursement is the caregiver’s responsibility.

Please note: Payment is due at the time of service. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends entirely on your individual insurance plan and benefits.

  • Payment is due at the time of service or can be made in advance. We require a credit card to be kept on file for easy, secure billing.

We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and HSA (Health Savings Account) cards.
